No.
You don't need a CRM.
What's really going on
At that volume, every lead can fit on one screen. If leads leak, it's because nobody owns the reply, or the follow-up after the first chat never happens. A CRM won't fix either. It'll add a tab you forget to open.
What to do instead
- WhatsApp Business app (free) — turn on Labels. Make four: New, Quoted, Follow-up, Won. Every inquiry gets a label the day it lands. The free labels work as a pipeline for small teams handling WhatsApp manually.
- Google Sheets (free) — one shared tab: date, name, what they asked, who owns it, next touch date. A sheet is enough for a single owner who needs one place leads cannot hide.
- The habit — one person on your team is the "WhatsApp owner" this week. They reply within 2 hours and nudge every "Quoted" lead on day 3 and day 7. Rotate weekly.
Do this in the next 30 minutes: open WhatsApp Business → tap the three dots → Business tools → Labels → create the four above. Label every open chat right now.
What you're being oversold
Someone will pitch you Wati or AiSensy for "WhatsApp automation," or Zoho Bigin because it's cheap in India. Wati is built for teams needing broadcast, chatbots, and a shared inbox — and the catalog itself says to avoid it at low volume because the free WhatsApp Business app is enough. AiSensy targets SMBs wanting automated qualification flows — you don't have the volume to qualify. A paid CRM at 10 leads a month means you'll spend more time feeding the tool than closing. The real cost of doing nothing isn't a tool gap; it's the referral you forgot to follow up with on day 4.
When to revisit this
When you cross 40 inquiries a month, or when two people are replying on the same number and stepping on each other.
The part worth getting right
Figure out where leads actually die. If they die before the first reply, the fix is one named owner and faster response — labels alone solve it. If they die after you send a quote, the fix is a scheduled 3-day and 7-day nudge, and no tool will build that habit for you. Pick the wrong gap and you'll install software for a problem you don't have, and still lose the same deals next month.
