Yes.
You don't need a new CRM. You need to fix your pipeline hygiene first.
What's really going on
You're 2–3 people selling software into governments and businesses across 45+ countries. That's long cycles, procurement portals, slow email chains. With under 10 new inquiries a month, 300 open deals means most are stale — sitting in stages nobody has touched in weeks. Switching tools won't wake them up. The next tool will inherit the same mess and cost you a migration month you don't have.
What to do instead
- Pipedrive Rotting Deals filter (already in your plan, roughly $14–15/user/mo entry tier — verify) — set a "rot" threshold per stage (e.g. 21 days no activity) and let the pipeline flag its own dead wood.
- Pipedrive Insights → Forecast report — weight by stage probability so 300 deals collapse into a real number you can plan against, especially for slow B2G cycles.
- Habit: a 30-minute Friday pipeline scrub, one person driving. Every deal gets a next step with a date, or it moves to Lost with a reason.
Do this today: open Pipedrive → Deals → filter "Last activity more than 30 days ago" → bulk-tag them. You'll likely find 150+ that should be Lost or Sleeping. One person, one sitting.
What you're being oversold
Someone will pitch you Salesforce for "multi-country enterprise" or HubSpot Sales Hub for "forecasting." Salesforce is massively over-built and costly for SMBs under 10 people, and HubSpot's paid Sales Hub escalates quickly per seat. Neither fixes a stale-deal problem — they just make it more expensive to store. Every month you don't purge, your win-rate math lies to you and you chase the wrong deals in the wrong countries.
When to revisit this
Revisit tools when your real active deals (with activity in the last 30 days) cross ~150, or when you hire a fourth seller — not before.
The part worth getting right
Here's the fork. Are those 300 deals actually alive, or is it a graveyard? If most are alive but slow (typical B2G — 6-to-18-month cycles, procurement gates), Pipedrive stays and you add stage-probability forecasting plus a country/procurement-stage custom field. If most are dead, you purge to maybe 60–80 real ones and Pipedrive suddenly feels great again. Guess wrong and you either migrate to a heavier CRM that inherits the rot, or you kill deals that were about to close after a year of silence. The number that matters is: of those 300, how many have had a real reply in the last 45 days?
